LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas (1-0, 0-0 SEC) heads into Tuscaloosa Saturday with a Number 16 ranking and a sense of urgency to get its
Southeastern Conference season off to a good start.
The Razorbacks are looking to repeat as SEC West champions and expect the running back tandem of Darren McFadden and Felix Jones
to go a long way toward putting them there.
Alabama (2-0, 1-0) will try to avenge last season's double-overtime loss to the Razorbacks. The Crimson Tide is under new coach Nick Saban, who won a BCS championship at LSU.
Arkansas coach Houston Nutt says close victories over Alabama and Vanderbilt last year helped his team's confidence and helped the players focus in practice. Nutt says he wants this year's squad to set the tone for the season by starting 1-0 in the conference.
The Razorbacks have had an extra week to prepare since their opener over Troy, one of five teams playing Alabama after an open date.
