TROY, Ala. (AP) - Troy players and fans are hoping for a repeat Friday night of the Trojans' biggest moment since beginning play in Division I-A, now the Bowl Subdivision.
Since making the move in 2001, the Trojans have one win against a ranked team and are 1-8 against teams from the Big 12 Conference.
In both cases that one victory came in September 2004 when then 17th ranked Missouri of the Big 12 Conference came to Troy and was upset by the Trojans 24-14.
History gets a chance to repeat itself when Oklahoma State plays Troy in a game nationally televised by ESPN2. It's the first time a Big 12 team has played at Troy since the 2004 Missouri game.
Troy head coach Larry Blakeney said he hopes Troy fans can recreate the electric atmosphere from that upset over Missouri three years ago.
The Trojans are looking to rebound from one-sided losses at 16th ranked Arkansas and 5th ranked Florida.
Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Movie Gallery Stadium.
