NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - It's a home game for Vanderbilt, but Saturday's game against Alabama is expected to be a sea of crimson.
Alabama supporters are descending on Nashville for the game, which will be the SEC opener for both teams. And it marks the return to SEC competition for Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban.
With a boost from the Alabama fans, the game is a sellout at Vanderbilt Stadium, which seats about 40,000.
The announced crowd last week was 32,000 for Vanderbilt's season opener against Richmond.
Tuscaloosa is a 3½-hour drive from Nashville.
