TROY, Ala. (AP) - Troy defensive end Kenny Mainor was arrested Wednesday morning for marijuana possession, according to a police report.
Coach Larry Blakeny said today that Mainor has been suspended from the team indefinitely for violation of team rules.
The police report says the arrest for second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana happened at a local lounge, The Dothan Eagle reported. Mainor was released on bond at 2:15 a.m.
Also arrested was former Trojan defensive end John Patrick Jackson who completed his eligibility last year, the Eagle reported.
Blakeney made the announcement today leading up to the Trojans' game Saturday at Number 4 Florida.
The junior has started since his redshirt freshman year when he replaced NFL first-round draft pick Demarcus Ware. He had two tackles in the Trojans' opener at Number 18 Arkansas.
Mainor led the team with 6.5 sacks as a sophomore.
