TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama athletic director Mal Moore says
he hasn't given up hope on getting some relief in the Crimson
Tide's football schedule this fall.

Alabama is scheduled to face six straight opponents who are
coming off open weeks this season. Moore has been working with SEC
officials and TV networks to find a remedy.

Moore said at the SEC meetings in Destin, Fla., there's still a
possible option or two, but it will have to happen soon.

Auburn, Mississippi State, LSU, Tennessee and Mississippi are
all idle before playing the Tide. Ditto for Georgia State.

SEC executive associate commissioner Mark Womack says that is a
statistical anomaly.

Even Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs says the schedule is
unfair.
