Troy, AL- Troy head football coach Larry Blakeney didn't pull any punches when citing the most difficult task for the team this offseason.
"Re-building our defense is the key, we lost 8 or 9 guys who actually played" Said Blakeney, who also said that the team needed to find a solid starter at quarterback.
This spring, Jamie Hampton and Corey Robinson separated themselves from the pack in the quarterback race, but where the Trojans have holes to fill on offense and defense.
The specialist spots are taken.
Kicker Michael Taylor will resume his spot as well as punter Will Goggans. Blakeney said it's a comfort to know the players that will handle the ball in those crucial situations in conference games this fall.
The Punt returner position will be handled by Trojan star wideout Jerell Jernigan.
