Butler looks toward season without Hayward

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Gordon Hayward has made it official - he is
staying in the NBA draft. And Butler can start looking toward next season.

Moments after Hayward announced the worst-kept secret in Indianapolis at Hinkle Fieldhouse, coach Brad Stevens took questions about how the Bulldogs will fill the void left by Hayward.

It won't be easy. Hayward was Butler's top scorer, top rebounder
and the Horizon League player of the year on a team that reached
the national championship game before losing to Duke.

Stevens, as always, has a plan that includes bringing in even more talent than the team that finished a perfect conference season and knocked off three major programs during the NCAA tournament.
