MIAMI (AP) - A man accused of fatally stabbing Florida International University running back Kendall Berry pleaded not guilty to a charge of second-degree murder.
Police say 22-year-old Quentin Wyche stabbed Berry, who was unarmed, during an argument outside the school's recreation center
on March 26.
Wyche's attorney, David M. Peckins, said on Friday that the situation is tragic for the families of both Berry and Wyche.
He added that was he confident that when the case is fully investigated, the evidence will show that his client is not guilty.
Wyche remains jailed as he awaits trial.
