AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are starting over in the kicking game.
Kody Bliss, John Vaughn and Matt Clark comprised one of the nation's better kicking games last season.
Special teams coach Eddie Gran said the Tigers are in full tryout mode this fall. Gran has been working with four field goal kickers, three punters and three kickoff men.
Redshirt freshman Ross Gornall, a walk-on, impressed coaches during the spring but is now competing against two scholarship kickers, freshman Wes Bynum and sophomore Zach Kutch along with walk-on Graham Sutter.
The punting battle has fewer competitors. Redshirt freshman Ryan Shoemaker and walk-on Patrick Tatum are vying for the job.
Gornall, Tatum and Bynum are competing to handle kickoffs. Gran said Bynum is the current front-runner.
