AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are testing the candidates
for starting quarterback in a variety of situations.

Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn said Wednesday he wants to
find out how they handle blitz pickups, hot reads and other duties.

Cameron Newton, Neil Caudle, Barrett Trotter and Clint Moseley
are all still getting practice repetitions. Malzahn says he has
mixed up how the reps are divvied up in this week's first two
practices.

He says he feels like they have four quality quarterbacks and he
isn't in a rush to pick one. Malzahn says he and coach Gene Chizik
want to make sure they make the right call and that all four
hopefuls get equal chances.

The Tigers are scheduled to hold their second scrimmage of the
spring on Saturday.
