Auburn, Alabama Gearing Up For The Football Season

Alabama has a new $4 million coach in Nick Saban. Auburn has
quietly won 33 games the past three seasons, behind only Southern
California and Texas.

Both teams are getting ready to face their Southeastern Conference rivals.

At Auburn, King Dunlap is the only offensive line starter back. TBs Brad Lester and Ben Tate are trying to keep string of top runners intact. The only proven receiver is Rodgeriqus Smith, a former walk-on.

Tiger defensive end Quentin Groves returns for senior season with shot at Auburn's career sacks mark. Twice-suspended linebacker Tray Blackmon could be a star if he stays out of trouble.

At Alabama, Saban inherits 6-7 team with promising quarterback John Parker Wilson.

The entire Tide starting offensive-line returns, but could be shuffled since the unit struggled last season.

Glen Coffee, Jimmy Johns and Terry Grant vying for the Alabama running back job. Wide receiver DJ Hall needs just 153 yards receiving to set Alabama career mark. And All-SEC cornerback Simeon Castille, linebacker Prince Hall and defensive end Wallace Gilberry lead defense.
