With much of last years senior laden Trojan defense hoping to impress scouts for next months NFL draft their college team is left searching for answers.

Some of those answers are easier than others, but competition means players in search of that glorious playing time are going to force coaches to make a choice.

They've got plenty of time to choose. Coach Blakeney and the staff say they're learning more about last years backups every time they take the field.

Some players have more work to do than others when it comes to actually seeing the field this fall, but as we saw last year depth can be quite important when starters fall either due to injury or academics.

Defensive coach Jeremy Rowell says there are 0, zip, nadda sure fire starters at this point in the spring, but some players are showing some promise.
