ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - Danica Patrick has enjoyed good
fortune in St. Petersburg before. She could use more this weekend.
This year hasn't gotten off to the best of starts for Patrick, who didn't finish better than 31st in any of her three appearances in NASCAR's Nationwide Series. And when she opened the IndyCar season two weeks ago in Brazil, she was 15th in a 24-car field.
But Patrick - who turned 28 on Thursday - might get a boost at Sunday's Honda Grand Prix, considering she has three top-10
finishes on the 1.8-mile street circuit and was running well on that temporary track last year before a wreck ended her chances.
