Smalley's 29 points lead Auburn past Florida 74-61

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Alli Smalley scored a career-high 29 points
and Auburn overcame KeKe Carrier's foul trouble to beat Florida
74-61 on Thursday in the first round of the SEC tournament.

Jordan Greenleaf added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Auburn
(15-15), the No. 10 seed. The Tigers will face No. 19 Kentucky, the
second seed, on Friday.

Smalley's previous career high was 27 points against Alabama on
Jan. 13.

Auburn, which led the full second half, made 8 of 14 3-pointers
including three by Blanche Alverson, who had 13 points.

Steffi Sorensen had 14 points for Florida (14-16), which ended
its season with its seventh loss in its last nine games.

Carrier, Auburn's 6-foot-7 center who averages 12.7 points per
game, had three fouls and no points in the first half, but the
Tigers led 32-26 at the break. Carrier fouled out with six points
with 2:08 remaining.
