New G.W. Long Football Coach

G.W. Long Rebels have a new head football coach. Former Rehobeth Coach George Kennedy takes over the long program.

He's replacing Jimbo Payne who left for the assistant principal position at Dale County.

Kennedy was the head coach at Rehoboth from 2002 through 2005. His final team there went 10-2.

He left Rehobeth to take the head coaching job at Susan Moore High.

Kennedy left that job in the middle of last season.

G.W. Long is just one of more than a dozen area teams that will have new coaches stalking the sidelines this fall.

Just down the road in Ozark, Robert Johnson of Saint James in Montgomery has been hired as the new football coach at Carroll High School.
