Alabama's Upchurch replaces Scott in Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Alabama running back Roy Upchurch filled a
Senior Bowl roster spot vacated by LSU's Charles Scott.

Scott wasn't medically cleared to play in Saturday's Senior Bowl
because of a shoulder injury sustained against Alabama on Nov. 7.

Upchurch backed up Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram and
freshman Trent Richardson for the Crimson Tide in the national
championship season. He ran for 299 yards and caught 12 passes as a

Upchurch is the sixth Alabama player on the South roster for the
NFL showcase game. The first practices for the North and South
teams were Monday afternoon.

Terrence Cody, Javier Arenas, Mike Johnson, Leigh Tiffin and
Colin Peek also represent the Tide.
