Several local players have signed scholarships to play on the next level. Wallace Coach Gene Dews has scooped up three local players to join the Lady Govs.
Ashford first baseman Tamara Williams says she'll play for Wallace next season. Williams batted .342 last year for the Yellow Jackets.
Meanwhile, a pair of Rehobeth teammates signed with Wallace Friday. Infielder Shea Williams signed on the dotted line. So did outfielder Amber Greathouse.
Still more softball news. The Dothan High Lady Tigers had a pair of players sign with Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City.
Pitcher Natalie Walker and infielder Kelsey Coleman will each play for the Commodores next season.
It's a chance for the girls to stay teammates, and play ball on the college level.
