Central Georgia woman to carry Olympic torch

MACON, Ga. (AP) - A Laurens County woman will carry the Winter
Olympics torch Tuesday in Calgary, Canada.

Crystal Foster won the honor after being nominated by a friend
based on her community service.

Coca-Cola North America made the selections.

Twenty-year-old Foster will be one of 20 torchbearers.

Foster is a co-founder of Green Teens in Dublin, a program that
encourages Laurens County high school students to collect and
recycle plastic bottles.

In Calgary, shell carry the torch 300 meters before handing it
off to Steve Lopez, a former Olympic medalist in tae kwon do.
