Auburn Women defeat Alabama 74-62

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Alli Smalley has led Auburn with a
career-high 27 points in a 74-62 win against rival Alabama.

Auburn's win Thursday was makes it a record eight straight
victories against the Crimson Tide and second straight Southeastern
Conference victory after an overtime win against No. 12 LSU on

Smalley led the way for the Tigers (11-6, 2-2 SEC) along with
KeKe Carrier who scored 20 points and went 9-of-11 from the floor.

Alabama (8-9, 0-4 SEC) had no answer in the paint for Carrier,
who's listed at 6-foot-7. Alabama's Courtney Strauthers, who is
6-foot-4 and Alabama's tallest player, tried to defend Carrier for
much of the game.

The Tigers led 38-17 with 4:39 left in the first half, but
Alabama stormed back. The Crimson Tide outscored its opponent 13-5
the rest of the way. Auburn led 43-30 at the break.

Reserve Celiscia Farmer led the Tide with 18 points while Ericka
Russell had 14 points.
