LIVERPOOL, England (AP) - American forward Landon Donovan hopes
to revive Everton's season during his 10-week stint in the Premier
League.

Stung by injuries to strikers, Everton is 12th in the 20-team
standings midway through the season.

Donovan's debut could come Saturday at Arsenal, which defeated
Everton 6-1 on the opening day of the season in August.

Donovan, on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy during the
offseason, said Thursday he's ready to help Everton right away.

Everton is without Ayegbeni Yakubu, who is at the African Cup of
Nations with Nigeria. Victor Anichebe has a long-term knee problem,
while injury-prone Louis Saha is struggling with fitness.
