NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Colt McCoy is among 10 Texas
Longhorns who were watching from the sideline wearing blue jeans
four years ago when Vince Young led the school to a national
championship at the Rose Bowl.
Now this group of seven scholarship guys and three walk-ons are
excited to end their career on the same field, under the same
circumstances - except this time most of them will be part of the
action when the second-ranked Longhorns face Alabama in the BCS
title game Thursday night.
The group of redshirts-turned-starters includes McCoy, receiver
Jordan Shipley, linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy and a trio of
offensive linemen: Chris Hall, Adam Ulatoski and Charlie Tanner.
Will Harvey will be the deep snapper on punts. Kicker Ryan
Bailey, punter Trevor Gerland and tight end Mac McWhorter round out
