NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Here's the strangest part of the
fallout from the Texas offensive line giving up nine sacks in the
Big 12 title game: There wasn't any.
The Longhorns linemen say no amount of yelling would have
changed the fact they had a lousy game against Nebraska. But they
still won and now they are hoping to redeem themselves against
top-ranked Alabama in the BCS title game Thursday.
The Longhorns never gave up more than four sacks in a game until
they played the Cornhuskers. Left tackle Adam Ulatowski says Texas
has made corrections and moved on from that night, and that the
team is taking the Crimson Tide's defense very seriously.
