TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - No. 1 Alabama is about to complete its
second stage of practices for the BCS title game against No. 2

The Crimson Tide has one more practice on campus Thursday before
flying to Pasadena, Calif., on Friday. Coach Nick Saban said
Wednesday was the team's third straight "really good" practice.
Alabama worked indoors because of a steady rain.

That doesn't count the first one after the break to work out the
kinks from a "Christmas hangover."

Saban said he wants his players to treat it as a business trip
but also get to enjoy the rewards for their accomplishments this

Cornerback Javier Arenas said players have been focused and
"everything's going really smooth."

Saban said left tackle James Carpenter and cornerback Marquis
Johnson are fully recovered from illness.
