Gainesville, FL- Florida head coach Urban Meyer cited the team as a reason that he's only going to take a leave of absence, as opposed to retiring from his position altogether.
Saturday, the report first aired on ESPN that the 2-time natonal championship coach decided to step down. Today, after seeing his team practice he had a change of heart.
"The love that I have for each of these players." said Meyer, when asked what exactly changed his mind.
Offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will run the team during Meyer's absence, which will begin after the Gators play Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl
on New Year's Day.
