Dothan native Clint Robinson is heading to the minor leagues. It's the first step in what he hopes is a trip to the majors.
Robinson was a 25th round selection by the Kansas City Royals last week. He'll report this week to the Royals rookie league team in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The Northview High grad was a star first baseman and outfielder for the Troy Trojans the last four years.
This past season he was a first team all Sun Belt selection.
He led the Trojans in just about every hitting stat, including 17 homeruns and 71 RBI's.
Robinson says he hopes to make the most of this opportunity.
