Saban's Contract Sent to Trustees for Approval

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Athletic director Mal Moore said today Alabama coach Nick Saban's contract has been completed and submitted to the university's board of trustees for approval.

The Crimson Tide made Saban college football's highest paid coach in luring him away from the Miami Dolphins for an eight-year deal worth more than 30 million dollars in January.

The final contracts for Saban and his assistant coaches must be approved by the University System Board of Trustees' compensation
committee.

The final stumbling block in landing Saban's signature had reportedly been endorsements, which make up much of his total compensation package under a multimillion-dollar "talent fee."
