BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Tennessee tailback Montario Hardesty and
Florida quarterback Tim Tebow were named SEC co-offensive players
of the week.
Defensive player of the week was Alabama linebacker Rolando
McClain. LSU kicker Josh Jasper won the special teams honor.
Hardesty ran 39 times for 179 yards and three touchdowns against
Kentucky. Tebow accounted for 311 yards and five TDs against
McClain had 12 tackles and a sack against Auburn. Jasper tied a
school record with four field goals, including a 41-yarder with
four seconds left in LSU's overtime win over Arkansas.
Offensive line honors went to Florida guard Mike Pouncey, while
South Carolina's Ladi Ajiboye and Mississippi State's Pernell
McPhee shared defensive line honors.
Georgia running back Washaun Ealey was the top freshman.
