Falcons release Georgia's Ely-Kelso, 5 more players

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Former Georgia punter GordonbEly-Kelso has been released by the Atlanta Falcons. Ely-Kelson wasbone of six players let go Monday-- one day after the end of thebFalcons' first mini-camp under new coach Bobby Petrino.

Ely-Kelso was given a tryout during the mini-camp after signingbwith the team as a rookie undrafted free agent. The team releasedbanother rookie free agent, safety Allyn Bacchus.

Also released were defensive tackle Anthony Bryant, defensive back Derrick Johnson and offensive linemen Brian Ferentz and Jason Palermo.

Ferentz spent the 2006 season on the Falcons' practice squad. Bryant played in four games with Detroit last season, and Johnson made one tackle in three games with Houston.
