The Bulldogs -- 31-and-12, 13-and-9 Southeastern Conference -- swept Auburn -- 28-and-22, 7-and-17 SEC -- for the first time since the 2001 season and swept a home conference series for the firsttime since taking three games from Ole Miss in 2002.
The Bulldogs are two games behind Arkansas in the S-E-C Western Division standings.
Ricky Bowen (5-1) pitched a shutout ninth inning to record the win.
In the ninth inning tied 5-to-5, Mitch Moreland singled to right field to start the at-bat. Brian LaNinfa sacrificed Moreland to second base.
After pinch hitter Brandon Turner drew an intentional walk, another walk to Conner Powers loaded the bases. Rice followed with his second homer of the year.
