Alabama 2, UAB 1

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Alabama sophomore Casey Kebodeaux held UAB
to one run and five hits through eight innings as the Crimson Tide snapped a six-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory over the Blazers tonight at Regions Park.

The two teams were tied heading into the eighth when Alabama (19-12, 4-5 Southeastern Conference) got the winning run across on a sacrifice bunt.

Alabama held on for the 2-to-1 victory, despite the Blazers (15-16, 3-0 Conference USA) sending their three, four and five hitters to the plate in the ninth, as Hunter was too sharp with his two strikeouts.
