TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama point guard Ronald Steele had
surgery on both knees.
The procedure yesterday revealed small cartilage defects, according to an athletic department news release. The condition had previously been described as bone bruises or tendinitis.
Doctors James Andrews and Lyle Cain successfully repaired the defects, the release said. The surgeons expect Steele to make a full recovery for next season.
