LSU 7, Alabama 3

Stephen Waguespack's bases-loaded double off the right field wall in the first inning scored three runs as LSU jumped ahead and defeated Alabama 7-3 Sunday.

Alabama (18-12, 4-5 Southeastern Conference) scored their first run of the game in the fourth inning on Ryan Rhoden's bases loaded ground out, cutting the LSU lead to 3-1.

LSU (17-12-2, 3-5-1 SEC) regained their three run cushion in the top of the fifth, on a Chris McGee RBI single. The Tigers scored their final run of the day in the ninth innings on a RBI single by Michael Hollander.

Alabama starting pitcher Brandon Belcher (1-1) took the loss.
