Billy Gamble:
The Dothan native is in his 19th Year as golf coach at the University of North Alabama

Tommy Wade:
He was a three-sport star at Dothan High. Wade went on to play safety at the University of Alabama

Nick Costes:
A Member of the 1956 U.S. Olympic Team. Costes became Troy State University’s first track coach in 1957. He coached at the school until 1988.

Scott Blackmon:
Football and Basketball standout at Eufaula High School. He is currently the head football coach at Stewart Quitman High School in Lumpkin, Georgia.

Doyle Kinsaul:
Football, Basketball and Baseball player at Geneva County High School in Hartford. Kinsaul played football at Troy. He later coached for 35 years at Straughn High School.

Earl Miller:
Coached the G.W. Long Baseball team to 10 state titles in 14 years. The 10 state championships is an Alabama record for a coach.

Jim Golden:
He spent 30 years as a coach at Dothan High School He’s best known for his 19-year tenure as the head basketball coach for the Tigers. He led the Tigers to the State Tournament 6 times.

Joyce Sorrell:
Started the Women’s Basketball program at Troy State University. She coached the Lady Trojans for 25 years, leading them to 273 victories.

Ronny Mobley:
Mobley was Troy State’s first Scholarship golfer. He won 18 collegiate tournaments.
