TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama receiver Tyrone Prothro has had another operation on his left leg and ankle.
The university said in a statement today that the surgery at DCH Regional Medical Center, performed last Thursday by Doctor Les Fowler, was to remove scar tissue restricting range of motion on his ankle.
It was at least the third time Prothro has had surgery since sustaining a compound fracture while attempting to make a leaping catch against Florida on October First, 2005.
He spent a month in the hospital after infection set in.
