AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn players say this team won't go
downhill like last year's Tigers.
Auburn has lost three straight games since a 5-0 start with a
sputtering offense and quarterback Chris Todd getting criticized.
The Tigers won only one of their final seven games last season with
But defensive end Antonio Coleman said this is "a whole
different team." He said the 2009 Tigers won't let the team spiral
downward like that.
The Tigers (5-3, 2-3 Southeastern Conference) will try to stop
the bleeding Saturday when No. 24 Mississippi visits.
Coach Gene Chizik said the team's attitude after the LSU loss
has been "great." He said there hasn't been any finger-pointing
among the players, and he doesn't believe there will be.
