2A Boys Finals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - With 33 points, 22 in the second half, Frankie Sullivan led R-C Hatch (25-and-4) to a 78-to-71 victory over Barbour County Thursday night to snag the Class 2-A boys state basketball title.

With nine state championships in school history, R.C Hatch has the record for most boys basketball championships in Alabama.

Two other Bobcats scored in the double digits. Calvin Pope had 17 points and ten rebounds, while Antwain Starks added ten points.

Barbour County (31-and-6) was led by Terrance Blakely with 24 points. Rasheem Richardson added 17 points and seven rebounds, and Rashad White chipped in with ten.
