After shooting a 75 in qualifying, Joseph Sykora almost missed the cut. But he changed his putter that night and took over the golf course over the next two rounds.

The Daphne, Alabama native finished the tournament 7 under par to win the tournament and the blue jacket. Sykora won with a three round total of 209. He shot a 68 Saturday.

Glenn Northcutt of Dothan finished just two strokes back at 5 under. They are followed by Kyle Sapp of Gardendale at 3 under.

Though Dothan's Glenn Northcutt finished two strokes back, the local favorite did win the 15- and 16-year-old age group.
