An Enterprise man has pleaded guilty to illegally transporting wild hogs and white-tailed deer across Alabama.
Richard Fleming has been ordered to pay $3200 in fines and received a 30-day suspended jail sentence with two years probation.
Authorities say Fleming illegally transported and sold white-tailed deer to undercover agents in Lee County. He also captured 27 wild hogs on Fort Rucker and sold and transported them to Lee County.
His arrest came after a six-month investigation by the state division of Wildlife
and Freshwater Fisheries. Agriculture officials say such illegal actions can spread
disease.
