TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida State could be without three of
its key veteran defensive players in its opener against Miami.

The school has declared senior tackle Justin Mincey out of
Monday's game with a knee injury while two other senior defensive
tackles - Budd Thacker and Kendrick Stewart - have been hobbled
this week in practice with nagging injuries and are questionable.

Coach Bobby Bowden said Wednesday the injuries on the defensive
line are creating concern about stopping Miami's running game.

Yet another Seminole defender, backup sophomore safety Terrance
Parks, is also listed as out of the season opener with a hamstring

Injuries will also keep offensive tackles Antwane Greenlee and
John Prior from playing.
