Young Indians Challeged Early

Seminole County is getting set for its season opener. The Indians will travel to Wilcox County Friday night.

Seminole County made it to the playoffs a year ago, but managed just a 5-5 regular season record.

This year's squad is young. Head Coach Alan Ingram says he'll have to play a lot of underclassmen.

The Indians start the season with three heavyweights on the schedule. Ingram knows it will be a tough start to the season.

"If we can pull one or two of those out, and keep the enthusiasm there, and stay away from injuries,” Ingram said. “We're very few in numbers. So, if they gain experience, get a little bit of confidence, we'll be good down the line."
