BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Alabama receiver Julio Jones is one of
three unanimous first-team All-Southeastern Conference picks. Jones
was one of nines players from Alabama to be selected to either the
first, second or third team. The SEC announced the teams chosen by
league coaches on Thursday.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Another Alabama reserve is planning to
leave the football program. Special teamer Chris Jackson's high
school offensive coordinator says Jackson has been granted
permission to speak with other schools about transferring. Jackson
has worked at both receiver and defensive back.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Fox Sports Net is going to televise
seven Southeastern Conference football games this season. The
network has reached a multiyear deal with ESPN, which secured the
rights to league content last August. The specific football games
and length of the deal were not announced.

ATLANTA (AP) - The Atlanta Braves are off to a good start coming
out of the All-Star break. Chipper Jones drove in the go-ahead run
in the seventh inning and the Braves beat the New York Mets 5-3.
Atlanta relievers pitched three scoreless innings. The four-game
series continues Friday.
