TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A lawsuit to force the release of
documents in Florida State University's appeal on some NCAA
sanctions in an academic cheating case is scheduled for a two-day
hearing beginning Aug. 5.

Leon County Circuit Court Judge John C. Cooper, who will hear
the arguments, set the date during a half-hour session Wednesday
with attorneys in the case.

The Associated Press along with a host of newspaper and
broadcast companies were joined in their suit by the Florida
attorney general.

The media attorney at Wednesday's 30-minute hearing, Rachel
Fugate, said an amended lawsuit filed earlier this month seeks
further records in addition to the original documents and a
reimbursement of attorney fees.
