CHICAGO (AP) - Chipper Jones was held out of the Atlanta Braves'
starting lineup a day after straining his right groin in a game
against the Chicago Cubs.

Jones said Tuesday night that he felt pain when he ran out of
the batter's box after singling in the fourth inning Monday night.
He scored and played the rest of the game.

The 37-year-old third baseman said he will miss no more than one
or two games.

Jones is batting .292 with nine home runs and 40 RBIs. The
Braves are 5-8 in games he has not started.

Martin Prado shifted from second base to third and batted second
to replace Jones, and Brooks Conrad will play second and bat
eighth. Jeff Francoeur, making his first start since a three-game
benching, was playing right field and batting seventh.
