Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame Ceremony Saturday
The 17th Annual Wiregrass Hall of Fame induction banquet is coming up Saturday. The event is at 7:00 p.m. at the Dothan Civic Civic Saturday. There are 10 inductees in this year's class. The 17th Annual Wiregrass Hall of Fame induction banquet is coming up Saturday. The event is at 7:00 p.m. at the Dothan Civic Civic Saturday. There are 10 inductees in this year's class.
The biggest name is former NBA star Robert Horry. Horry starred at Andalusia, then moved on the University of Alabama. He then went on to win an incredible seven NBA titles in his 16 seasons.
Other notables include longtime area football coaches Leavy Boutwell, Dwight Tew and Glenn Daniel.
Many of the inductees will be at the banquet saturday to accept their awards.
Tickets are $30 each and are available through the Dothan Civic Center box office. To order tickets call (334) 615-3175.
All proceeds will benefit the Wise Center in Dothan.
If you can't make it to the ceremony, many of the inductees will be attending a crab boil dinner at Blue Moon Cafe Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Blue Moon is at 172 South Foster Street in Dothan.
