TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama right fielder Kent Matthes has
received two more All-America honors.

The recognition from Baseball America and the American Baseball
Coaches Association make Matthes a consensus All-American. He has
made five All-America teams.

Matthes is also one of five finalists for the Golden Spikes
Award as the nation's top player.

He tied for the national lead with 28 homers, setting a single
season school record.

Matthes was a fourth-round draft pick by the Colorado Rockies.
