AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn has received a grant from the NCAA to
help market women's basketball for next season.
Auburn was one of 14 institutions and four conferences chosen to
receive the grant as part of the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball
Grant Program, which is in its second year.
Auburn will get $26,400 for next season.
The 2-year-old program is geared toward increasing awareness,
exposure and attendance for women's basketball.
Some of the success stories from the program's debut year
included Texas Tech University, which doubled its student
attendance for home games. East Tennessee State had a 231 percent
