ATLANTA (AP) - The Chicago Cubs game against the Atlanta Braves
was postponed by rain Thursday night.
The game was called following a delay of 2 hours, 20 minutes
before the first pitch.
The Braves said a makeup date is expected to be announced later
Thursday night. The Cubs are not scheduled to play again in
The Cubs and Braves split the first two games of the series,
each in extra innings.
The rainout delayed the debut of newly acquired Braves center
fielder Nate McLouth and also pushed back Chicago scheduled
starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano's return from a six-game
The Braves acquired McLouth from the Pittsburgh Pirates for
three minor league players on Wednesday.
