HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Caleb Cotham allowed one run in seven
innings and Brian Harris had three RBIs to lead Vanderbilt to an
11-1 victory over Arkansas Saturday to move into the Southeastern
Conference tournament championship game.
The eighth-seeded Commodores (34-24) will seek their second league tournament title in three years against either LSU or Georgia on Sunday after winning their first three games.
Vanderbilt had 15 hits and won it on the 10-run mercy rule after seven innings. Jonathan White's RBI groundout ended it.
Cotham (6-5) allowed five hits and one run in seven innings while striking out seven. The game was scoreless until Vandy's Curt Casali belted a leadoff homer in the fourth to start an offensive explosion.
The Razorbacks (34-22) got their only run when Travis Sample had an RBI double in the sixth.
The game started after a 22-minute rain delay.
