AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Four state players were selected in the NFL
draft's third round.
Alabama tailback Glen Coffee was the first to go on Sunday with the 74th overall pick by the San Francisco 49ers.
Three choices later, Crimson Tide center Antoine Caldwell went to the Houston Texans. Auburn cornerback Jerraud Powers later went to the Indianapolis Colts and Alabama safety Rashad Johnson was taken by the Arizona Cardinals.
Auburn offensive lineman Tyronne Green was selected in the fourth round by the San Diego Chargers.
Powers and Coffee both left after their junior seasons. Three players from state colleges were picked on Saturday. Andre Smith was the sixth overall pick while Auburn's Sen'Derrick Marks and Troy's Sherrod Martin went in the second round, along with former Daphne and West Virginia quarterback Pat White.
