TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) - Martin Truex Jr. insists he has not made
up his mind about where he will drive in 2010.
Truex is in a contract year with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing, and his name has come up several times over the past month for other jobs. The speculation has been fueled by his poor start to the season.
He heads into Sunday's race at Talladega Superspeedway ranked 21st in the Sprint Cup standings. Truex blames the chaos following the merger between Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Chip Ganassi Racing for his performance to date.
But he thinks his No. 1 team recently turned the corner and can be competitive. He also says he's going through a detailed process in evaluating his future and won't be rushed into making a decision.
